Individual tuition or classes of two/three students
This allows for:
Teaching more directed towards the professional and specific needs of the student(s) either in Portugal or in a country where Portuguese is the official language; preparation of exams, theses or scientific works in universities or other institutions of technical or professional level.
These courses take place throughout the year, with dates and workload at the students’ choice.
Intensive Group courses
Groups have between four to eight students. Courses last for three weeks, with four teaching hours per day, from Monday to Friday, with a total of sixty hours plus 3 cultural visits and 3 conversation lessons, one hour per week.
The classes are between 09.30h and 13.30h or between 14.00h and 18.00h on dates fixed by PORTlíngua.
Groups will be formed on the first day of the course after completion of a placement test, both written and oral.
Not applicable to the beginners’ courses.
Extensive Group courses
From 4 to 8 students with the same level of Portuguese knowledge, verified with a written and oral test (not applicable to beginners).
Extensive group courses last for around 3 months, with a total of 30 hours split into 1.5 hour sessions twice a week, starting in February, April and October.
Self-organised group courses
Bring along your friends and colleagues!
Self organised groups with 4 to 8 students and the same language level can request a course with the dates, length, number of hours per day/week, total number of hours and timetable of their choice.
Special U.E. group courses
Erasmus
Group courses for academic students integrated in the ERASMUS programme are organized by PORTlíngua twice a year in the first and second semesters. These courses have forty hours, two hours of classes per day with a minimum of six to a maximum of ten students.
Leonardo da Vinci programmes
Intensive Portuguese Courses offer different levels each with twenty lessons per week, four lessons daily, maximum of ten students, depending on the programme.The fields of this course will depend on the language level, aiming to prepare the participants to their sectors, before starting their work placements.
Conversation Clubs
Conversation clubs are designed for students with some previous knowledge of Portuguese (level A2 and above) and aim to strengthen speaking skills and perfect pronunciation.
Groups have a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 participants, with 2 hour sessions once a week on dates fixed by PORTlíngua.
